For 15 years, the Newfoundland and Labrador Book Awards have been celebrating excellence in Newfoundland and Labrador writing. Awards are given for children’s/young adult literature and for fiction in even numbered years, and in alternating, odd-numbered years for non-fiction and for poetry. Since 2006, the awards have been presented jointly by the Writers’ Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Literary Arts Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
